TNT, TAKE ON RARO

The Tairua Senior Netball ladies hit Rarotonga for a week of unforgettable fun! Staying Edgewater Resort, we bonded over whale spotting, tanning at the beach, cocktails and early morning beach walks. Turtles joined us snorkeling, and the sunsets joined us for dinners and drinks, who knew cocktails are great team-building tools!

Between 2 epic afternoon of netball and endless laughs, this trip has been memorable.

The Avatiu Dragonflies Netball Club hosted our games and they brought with them some top notch Netball Talent young and old, men and women. It was a delight to take the court with loads of laughs and some great netball.

We are told each town must sport 10 teams across the ages to enter into their domestic competition, and with 150 strong members they sure cover all the grades, many international players too, all so humble and kind.

Epic Raro moments...
1. Hanging with a wonderful group of women.
2. Snorkeling with turtles
3. Mission across mountain walk and rope climb up to the needle

Amazing women, epic netball, sun, beach, cocktail and lots of laughs ♥️

Getting to go away with a fun bunch of ladies, watching them play some great netball in such hot conditions, getting to see the amazing scenery around the island, experiencing so many delicious meals, enjoying the warm sun and lastly Captain Tamas boat cruise. Such a spectacular place to visit.

What an amazing week away we had!! So much laughter, sunshine, good food, cocktails, netball and fun was had by all!
Take me back!!

♥️

TRSC AGM - NEWS

Our club held its Annual General Meeting on Monday and are pleased with the results of our 2023/24 year, and are looking forward to all that the new 2024/25 year has in-store for our club.

We have Steve Hughes taking up the position on our committee vacated by Graham Eltringham earlier in the year. Welcome Steve (& Amy). Thanks to Graham (& Annette) for your service and ongoing support for our club.

And we are excited to have Harry Evans as a part of our Team as our Senior Rugby representative, we are already excited with the energy and enthusiasm we are feeling from many players and support personnel for the 2025 season ahead.

After 5 years of tireless work for our club our treasurer Terry Kingham is standing down from the committee. Our club would not be in the strong financial position it is in without Terry's expertise. No, he's not leaving the club, just taking a well earned breather. We thank both Terry and Trish for all of their support.

JUNIOR CRICKET - WEDNESDAYS @ 3.45

Saturday saw our r 7/8 Cricket kids in action again in Morrinsville.  Heavy rain on Friday didn't dampen the game that started well for our team who bowled well and kept Morrinsville under the pump before a late partnership and hitting got them to a good score of 201.  The chase was tough with early wickets falling  as can happen in Cricket but some nice shots from Mikal, Rohan and Jed plus a Jeral getting through to retirement helped the team get through 30 overs and posting about 150.

It's a bye this week but it's practice as normal and we were thrilled to have 12 kids going strong at the nets last week!

We need more parent helpers and coaching support, to ensure all kids get to play. If you want to know more, or have a little time to spare please get in touch with Carl on 021-387-881
